5 Weeks from #Seed to #Marigold #Flowers! #growfromseed

Five weeks ago, we sowed Marigold seeds in a container. We sprinkled water on the soil to keep it moist, and the seeds germinate within 7 days. Once the seeds sprouted, we continued to keep the soil most until the seedlings grew to 2 -3 inches tall. The reason we wait until the seedlings are 2 – 3 inches tall is because we want to make sure the seedlings have an established root system that will help them survive the move to a new location.

Marigolds like full sun or partial sun. As soon as the bloom dies, prune it so that the plant will direct energy to new blooms.

Once you have transplanted Marigold seedlings to a sunny spot in your garden or container garden, enjoy the multiple flowers whose bright colors attract interest from humans and butterflies!
