One of the most durable plants we have in our garden/landscape is Variegated Bishop’s Goutweed Groundcover.

  1. Variegated Bishop’s Goutweed can withstand very cold and hot temperatures.
  2. Variegated Bishop’s Goutweed is animal resistant (deer, rabbits, voles, gophers, groundhogs).
  3. Once Variegated Bishop’s Goutweed is planted, it is very difficult to remove because the roots run deep.
  4. The cream color around the edges of the leaves makes Variegated Bishop’s Goutweed a very attractive plant.
  5. Once planted, Variegated Bishop’s Goutweed spreads quickly.
  6. Variegated Bishop’s Goutweed is a perennial that returns every year.

We also have Variegated Bishop’s Goutweed in our Front Sidewalk Garden. The Front Sidewalk Garden is bordered by the sidewalk and driveway, so we know the groundcover will not expand beyond this area. We like Variegated Bishop’s Goutweed in our Front Sidewalk Garden because it is an attractive layer beneath our shrubs, evergreens, lilies and irises!
