It’s a cool Spring day in the Mid-Atlantic area of the U.S.A. and we are using the opportunity to transplant Asiatic lilies from a large container to the ground. Cool weather is perfect for planting and transplanting because it causes less stress on the plant. We use an old butcher knife to cut around the clump of Asiatic Lilies we want to remove from the container …

We are digging 2 holes in our Front Triangle garden …

The following video shows how to place the plant in the hole and cover with soil. For beginner gardeners, it is very important that the neck of the plant remain at ground level. Plants do not like their necks covered with soil.
