#Gardening winding down? Focus on #healthandwellness!

It’s late Autumn in the Mid-Atlantic area of the U.S.A. Temperatures are averaging 35 degrees during the day, so we are spending more time inside. Therefore, it’s a good time to focus on our health and wellness! We took advantage of the opportunity to get outside and visit Black Hill Regional Park/Seneca Lake in Gaithersburg, Maryland. To get our 30 minutes of exercise per day, we took a brisk walk on a blustery Fall day. A brisk walk in the cold gets your metabolism going! Your body has to work harder to stay warm, therefore you burn more calories. A brisk walk also improves your mood by increasing the “feel good” endorphines!

We also like to visit Massanutten in the Fall. Massanutten is located in mountains of Harrisburg, Virginia. When the trees change colors in the Fall, the vistas are absolutely beautiful!
