The Cloisters religious community has maintained their way of life from the 1700s. The buildings look like large barns. The style of dress is similar to the Amish. The grounds are beautifully maintained, as you will see in the videos. Here are 3 reasons to visit Historic Ephrata, Pennsylvania:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>It gives us an opportunity to learn about new places and cultures.<\/li>\n<li>It breaks up our daily routine.<\/li>\n<li>We have heard that when you learn new things, you build new brain cells.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>An inexpensive day trip to a new location improves your health and your perspective! When we travel, we usually use the Hilton Honors program and stay at a member of the Hilton chain of hotels. We earn points for free nights, and when we use our AARP card, we get a late checkout time of 2pm! We especially like the Hampton Inn and Homewood Suites due to their free breakfast and large rooms.
