It’s Spring in the Mid-Atlantic area of the U.S. and we are excited to see our “Tropical Butterfly” Iris blooming! if you will notice, we don’t have many Irises blooming because the Irises have become crowded. When you view the below video, you will see an excellent example of many Iris plants with no blooms. The secret forcing Iris blooms is to dig up and divide Irises, which you can learn about here.
The below photo shows our Tropical Butterfly Irises a few years ago, when they were just planted. Noticed the numerous blooms! We have some work to do on our Tropical Butterfly Irises!
