We were looking for a free way to relax and enjoy a breezy Autumn afternoon, so we spent the afternoon at Black Hill Regional Park and Seneca lake. It was a little chilly and breezy, but the Fall colors were beautiful!
The park and lake are beautifully maintained. They have paved hiking trails, rest rooms, picnic tables, and a Visitor center. The Visitor Center has wildlife exhibits and displays for children (and adults).
The late afternoon sun glistened off the lake, as we enjoyed seeing the birds attempt to feed at the bird feeders. We were disturbing their afternoon snack at the feeders! We tried not to stay too long. The Park Director mentioned that there were bald eagles nesting nearby, so we used the telescope to spot the nest.
