One of the secrets to beautiful Geranium flowers is to prune or “deadhead” the spent bloom as soon as it’s finished blooming. This video shows what the “spent” bloom looks like and how to “deadhead” it.


One of our YouTube subscribers, Lew Scagnetti, says that pruning is best 2 – 4 hours after watering since the stems will be crisp. He also says you can dead head with your fingers, but I prefer to use pruning shears. Thanks Lew!
