Tropical Cannas are large showy plants with lush green leathery leaves and clusters of large bright flowers! One would imagine that they are too large for containers but they adjust very well. About one month ago, we dug up four clumps of Cannas from the ground. We placed one of the clumps in a container with a mix of 50/50 top soil and peat moss. We placed the container in a sunny location that gets at least 6 hours of sun per day.
We watered the container every day. Cannas love water and sun. After 3 weeks of the plant adjusting to it’s new container and location, we added organic fertilizer. Like magic, the Canna bloomed gorgeous yellow flowers!
