Virginia Beach Flora! #salvia #geraniums #marigolds #pachysandra #flower #flowers #garden

Whenever we visit Virginia Beach, we are always greeted with gorgeous flower displays along the boardwalk. This particular garden design was a layered arrangement of flowers and colors. In the background, purple salvia sets the foundation. The next layer is a mix of red geraniums and hot pink geraniums. Orange and yellow marigolds round out the spray of bright colors! Pachysandra ground cover completes the arrangement.

We have grown marigolds from seed, geraniums, and purple salvia in our garden but we haven’t layered the flowers in this fashion. When we move and start our new garden, we will use layers!
