It is officially Summer in the Mid-Atlantic area of the U.S.A. and we have a bounty of gorgeous flowers joining our Summer Parade! White Four O’Clocks are the first to line up! The trumpet-like blooms open up in the evening …


Yellow Four O’Clocks join White Four O’Clocks in our Summer Parade!



Most of our Day Lilies bloom in mid-Spring, however this particular Day Lily blooms in early Summer. It is a gorgeous blend of deep pink and yellow.



Gladiolus are the perfect flower for a cutting garden. The large flowers clusters at the top of the stalk fill a flower vase with large, yellow blooms!



Black-Eyed Susans bloom in early Summer. This low-maintenance perennial is native to the Mid-Atlantic area of the U.S.A., so they are very easy to grow and maintain.




The “Side Garden” is full of summer-blooming plants such as Milkweed, Red Roses, Four O’Clocks, Golden Yarrow, Canna, and Yellow Gladiolus.



Pink Vinca in a Container! We love growing Vinca in containers because they are very easy to maintain, and we don’t have to worry about deer or rabbits. To learn more about growing Vinca, click here.


Tiger Lilies bloom from late Spring and into early Summer. The background plants are Golden Yarrow and Red Roses … lovely combination!

A row of big Zinnias is starting to bloom in our front yard …


We have a row of 3 – 4 foot tall Zinnias in our front yard and they are all blooming!


A gorgeous cluster of magenta Verbena flowers!
